Therapy can feel like a scary step, and I’m truly glad you’re considering Mustard Seed Health and Wellbeing as a safe place to focus on yourself. I have been providing therapy to youth and adults for over eleven years, supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges. With the right guidance and support, therapy can help you gain deeper insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we can identify unhealthy patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back. From there, we’ll work to develop practical and effective strategies to help you manage stress, anxiety, depression, past trauma, and life transitions. You’ll learn how to regulate emotions and respond to situations in healthier, more empowering ways.
If this approach resonates with you, I would be honored to connect and explore how my team and I can walk alongside you on your journey toward improved mental health.
Who we are
I am someone who has walked through life’s deepest valleys—marriage, motherhood, divorce, remarriage, and the lasting impact of physical and emotional abuse. I have faced overwhelming grief, including the heartbreak of losing a loved one to suicide, and the difficult journey of confronting past trauma.
Through it all, I discovered that healing is possible. By God’s grace, I learned how to breathe through the hardest moments, rebuild joy in a home that once felt broken, and find purpose in the pain. My journey hasn’t been easy, but it has shaped a deep compassion for others who are hurting.
Today, my heart is to offer hope, encouragement, and connection to those facing similar struggles—reminding them they are not alone, and that even in the darkest seasons, healing and peace are possible.
Meet the Team
A tiny mustard seed of faith can move mountains. With just a little belief in yourself, you can transform your world..
In my role as Office Administrator and Coordinator, I help shape the tone and rhythm of Mustard Seed Health & Wellbeing. I organize the moving pieces, guide clients through their first steps, and keep our operations steady as we grow. I also support MA duties during this chapter of our development, offering consistency and care until our team expands. I lead with a calm, steady presence. I’m guided by the belief that everyone deserves a place where they feel grounded and supported. Helping create that space — even in small ways — is what keeps me connected to this work. It brings me a deep sense of joy and comfort to watch people grow, to see them step into the potential we recognized in them from the very beginning.
Biography is in the making.
I am a trauma-informed therapist who brings both clinical expertise and lived understanding into my work. I approach therapy with the belief that healing is not just about insight—it’s about feeling understood, building practical skills, and creating change that actually fits into real life. I specialize in ADHD, autism, and PTSD, particularly in individuals who have felt misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or unsupported. As someone who understands the impact of trauma and neurodivergence on a personal level, I am passionate about helping clients make sense of their experiences in a way that is validating, empowering, and grounded in real-world application. My work focuses on individuals ages 16 and older, including those within the forensic system and combat veterans, where complexity and resilience often go hand in hand. My approach is client-centered and rooted in the belief that knowledge is a powerful tool for change. When people understand how their brain works and how their experiences have shaped them, they gain the ability to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I am committed to treating every individual with respect, honesty, and genuine understanding, recognizing that no one is beyond growth, healing, or meaningful change. I hold a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees in psychology-related fields and am currently an Addiction Counseling Candidate (ACC), working toward Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) certification. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development to ensure the highest quality of care. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen—not just for what they’ve been through, but for who they are—and supported in building a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who they want to be.
My name is Tanisha Meigs, and I am a clinical mental health counseling intern with a strong passion for supporting children and adolescents as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, where I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment that empowers clients to explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier thinking patterns.
In working with younger populations, I integrate play therapy to foster communication, self-expression, and healing in a developmentally appropriate way. I am committed to meeting clients where they are and tailoring my approach to fit their unique needs and experiences.
I believe that mental health care should be accessible and inclusive, and I am dedicated to being a welcoming and supportive presence for individuals from all backgrounds. My goal is to provide compassionate care to anyone in need while helping clients build resilience, confidence, and a sense of well-being.
I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) student intern from MSU Denver, with a strong commitment supporting individuals, families, and communities in achieving emotional wellbeing. I have experience providing counseling services in diverse settings, with a particular emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I use a strength based, culturally responsive approach to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I am passionate about promoting mental health, resilience, and equitable access to care for all populations.
